Perennial swap

On Saturday I went to a perennial swap. The weather wasn't the greatest; however, it was a lot of fun. I meet some new people, got to see awesome gardens, picked up some new ideas and brought home some new plants.

This week I am shopping for my annuals!! Can't wait; however, I am waiting for a drier day. Just love flowers. Looking forward to adding some color to our flowerbeds!!! Hope you had a great weekend!!

The end

Last night, we completed our journey through the book James. You see our church offered a Bible study on the book of James for anyone that was interested. You picked a time that worked for you and they randomly put us into groups of about 15. (We had about 500 people sign up!!!)

So, in Feb 2010 we began a 12 week journey through the book of James. Each week we would do our lesson, meet to discuss our answers and share prayer requests.

I don't know if you can read the front of the book, but it reads: "A life-changing encounter with God's Word from the book of JAMES" and that is exactly what it was. Not only did we gain a lot of knowledge from God's Word; however, we now have 13 new friends. I guess not all of them are new, I've known some of them for a while, but now I know them better.

Well last night was week 12!! So in total Apostolic tradtion we had to have a meal.
Hey I just noticed that 2 of my friends are hiding in this picture. Don't worry I have more.

If you haven't read James in a while--you might want to check it out again. If you are really wanting a challenge find 10 or so people that you want to get to know better and ask them to spend 12 weeks with you studying the Bible. Then you too will have a life-changing encounter with God's Word.
The journey was a great one. I learned so much in the book of James. However, the friendships we built along the way are a real treasure. It reminds me of the little song I learned at Sunshine Camp many years ago: Make new friends but keep the old--one is silver and the other is gold. Thanks to everyone in the group--you are great people and to Pat sorry about the picture of you, but I wanted to make sure I pictured everyone and maybe you will even leave me a comment. But remember what we have learned about the tongue.
So sad that we are done--hoping that to do another study sometime.

Almost done!

Yes, after putting in several longer evenings, Matt finished the sandbox. Well, almost finished. We still need to add more sand and create a better lid; but for right now, we are calling it a sandbox.

Since it was so windy on Sat. Matt placed our step ladder on the tarp to help hold it down. So today when I uncover the box so Ubby could play I just put the ladder against the tree--not a good idea. Check it out. . .
Hope you are having a great Monday.

Progress!!!

Things are going much better than expected!! Check it out.
Ubby could be full of sand before the sun sets today. OK it isn't going that well, however, we are making great progress. Stay tuned!!!

Coming soon!!!

Yes, it is an exciting day at the Lehman house. Ubby has been talking about it all week and today we are officially starting. Ubby has been wanting a sand box and he just left with Matt to go to the hardware store to get the supplies. Hopefully he is not too disappointed when he gets home and finds out that it will be next week until there is a sand box you can actually play in. Have a great weekend.

PEEP into our Easter weekend

We were very blessed to spend our long Easter weekend with lots of family!!

The kids and Matt were all home on Friday for the observance of Good Friday! We had supper with Matt family on Friday night. (sorry no picture!)
Then headed of to

for Good Friday church services.

Saturday, Matt spent most of his day at the House of Hope helping on a work project. The kids and I were at home getting our food ready for Grandpa and Grandma's and I did slip out for a quick visit to an auction in town. No real big buys there.

Saturday evening

We went to Grandpa Harry and Grandma Ada's house to celebrate Easter!!! Oh what fun!! Check out some pictures:
As you can see it was just a normal evening at Grandpa and Grandma's . . . but hey what is this?

Yes, Grandma Ada does Easter baskets for the Great Grandkids.
A WONDERFUL time was had by all--she has the best toys.
Right Bre??!!
Easter Morning
Ready for Church

After church we went to Grandma Cathy's had a great meal, played outside for a while then back inside for another one of those burning games of Scattergories.
You can tell it was pretty serious.
We had to dig out the encyclopedia to check one of Brier and Landon's answers. Of course they won. They even beat the team of Lyndsi, Gwen, Matt and Stacey. Can you believe they beat Boog and I?
I am looking for a new partner. I think I finished almost 10 points behind the winning team.

Sorry this post is so long, my mom, yes the one who has her own blog, told cousin April that I would blog about Easter since she wasn't able to be there this year.

Hope you all have a great day. :)
