Happy Birthday, Grandma Marge!!!

We recently celebrated Grandma Marge's 94th birthday!!! This wasn't the party we originally planned. But we still were able to party. Grandma ended up in the hospital, just a couple of days before her birthday. The nurses found out that we were planning a party so they insisted that we have it there. So we changed the menu. Made it an after supper occasion and went with it!!

Cupcakes and debbies!!!! Now that's a party!!!!

Thankfully all of us but 2 made it to the party. Audrey had to work and Landon moved to college the day before. So wonderful we had the chance to be together. Grandmas always enjoys watching us. We are a pretty interesting group.
Grandma went back to Swiss Village the day after the party. And is feeling better.

Happy Birthday Grandma Marge. We LOVE you!!!!

A new chapter!!!

Last Saturday, we began a new chapter of our lives.

                                                                               This guy,
 Landon.

Moved to
Purdue University.

(This is not a picture from Saturday. I was busy moving not taking pictures!!!)

Things around here are different. Logan, has taken over his dresser, his bed and his spot in the morning shower line up.

Lyndsi has taken his seat at the kitchen table.

I have taken over. driving his car.

Good luck Landon, we are already looking forward to your first visit home.

Under construction!!

Hello long, lost blog friends. As you can see, I have been updating the pictures on the side and header. Thank you so much Tara Steffen!!!!

Also, in the rearranging stage I somehow messed a few things up. (Like the links to all the blogs I read.)  (Wait, most of the blogs I read, there are more but that is a really long story.)

So I will be fixing things real soon. But for now enjoy the new pictures of the kids and wait for upcoming blog posts.

Have a great day. :)

Christmas Fun

On Saturday evening, I thought it would be fun to go to Jefferson Pointe and check out their new Christmas tree that I keep hearing about on the radio. It was the perfect weather for such an outdoor activity.

And so the light show began. It was really neat; however, I would drive to Ft Wayne, just to see it. They only played to Christmas songs per show. But if you are there you will want to see it.

So since we were in Ft Wayne we had never seen Santa and the sleigh up close, so we went downtown to see that. We had had chance to walk over and stand in the parking lot and check it out.
And while there, what to our wondering eyes should appear? Santa and the Mrs. taking their decked out sports car for a spin.
I wish I had gotten a picture of the back of this. They were displaying there ceramic Christmas village on the back of their sports car. While playing Christmas tunes for all to hear.

Hope that your Christmas season has been a good one so far.

Another pool post

Last year, instead of going on a vacation, we decided to purchase the pool. So many times you spend hours, planning, packing, traveling to a vacation site and everyone's favorite part is the pool at the hotel. So we decided that we would just vacation at home and put a pool in the back yard. Let me just say that it was one of the best vacations. I loved it. I always knew where things were and I never got lost trying to find Wal-Mart or McDonalds!!!

However, it was sort of embarrassing when people would see how tanned we were and ask where we had been and we had to tell them that were were in our back yard.
