Bringing the outside in

Yes, I am still here. No, I wasn't taken away after the hail storm. It is just that here at the Lehman's we have been really busy. The days are flying by, only 9 more days of school!!

I have been spending a lot of time outside trying to get the flowerbeds looking good. (That is the project that will not end!!) Yesterday, I finally planted my annuals. (Pictures coming soon!)

Today, since I have laundry to do and cookies to bake (Yes, Deb and Marlene--I am baking the cookies I promised you!) I decided to bring in some of my perennials so I can enjoy them while I work.

I love having fresh flowers in the summer. I made the vase a couple of weeks ago. You too can create one of these. I used an empty glass ice tea bottle (Thanks, Matt!), covered it in jute twine and finished it with some white ribbon. I've placed it by my kitchen sink--too brighten up all the time I spend there.

Hope you all have a great day!!!

Hey Julie,

I love the flowers and the vase you put them in. We have been planting perennials and annuals. There are lots of bushes and trees here, but not much color through flowers. It won't be long before we start to see more color.

I think I forgot to write back to you after you wrote a few weeks ago. We will be in Indiana soon, maybe a few weeks from now. I can let you know when so that we can meet up. If you want my address, I can give you that via e-mail. Just let me know.

Outside flowers are the best! They free! The hail was really hard on my stuff. Luckily Nothing too permanent!

Hello again Julie,

Yes, we'll be in Indiana for the weekend of June 25th. My niece, Brittney, is getting married on the 26th. My in-laws live at 5366 N. 300 W. Can you stop by? Shawn and I could go over to yours, too, if you would prefer.
