An update

It is time to interrupt this blogging vacation for ....an update. So sorry for the long break, but of course, you can guess it has been kind of crazy around here. I will not be trying to catch up on what we have done everyday for the last three months. (Wow where does the time go?)

Anyway, part of the reason things have been so crazy is because, I have rejoined the working world. Yes, I have a part-time job!! And I LOVE it. I work 3 days a week at CR Designs in Berne. You know the lasting light people!!

These are just some of the beautiful candle sleeves we make. So anyway once a year, we have a dent and scratch sale. The sale is THIS weekend!! These candle sleeves go over an electric candle base. You buy a 3 watt bulb or a 6 watt bulb. They make excellent night lights!!! They are hand made in Berne!!!

Here are some of the girls getting ready for the sale. I think this sale is one of largest ones we have had. Lots of great deals!!! Many of the sleeves were only used once on display at a trade show.
These are just some of the electric bases you can purchase to display your candle sleeve.

The sale starts Friday at 9 am!!! You have got to check it out!! Hours for the sale are Friday 9-6 and Saturday 9-2.
The showroom (the top 2 pics) will be open too so you can check out all our top quality products!!! So if you don't have your Mother's Day gift yet, you may want to plan a trip to Berne. Just a noe: Citywide garage sales are Friday too.

Before I go I have to show you two of my favorite CR Designs employees.

Cooper (left) and Lilly (right)!! They come to work almost everyday. They are Golden Doodles and are so cute!!! How could I post about work with talking about them. They are always excited to see people.

Well that is all for now, I have to get going. I have to get back to the candle sleeve making business this morning. Have a great day.

Look what I got for Christmas

I know that Christmas is long over but I had to share what I got for Christmas!!! I have been wanting one of these for a little while--I actually stole this. Now wait a minute--I stole it in one of those fun exchange things you always have a Christmas. OK without further delay here it is!!!

Yes!! A cupcake tree!! Isn't it beautiful? I couldn't wait to use it. So a Logan helped me make these!!! Don't they look good enough to eat?  Trust me they were!!!

So I am now the owner of my very own cupcake tree!! I am looking forward to using this many more times.

Star Dust

Saturday evening our High School had their semi-formal winter dance. Lauren being a freshman was so excited! Landon being a junior---well he went and helped provide the music for the dance.

Landon and Lauren before the big dance!

Lauren went to Star Dust with one of her friends from marching band!!! I think he survived the evening. I don't know if we will ever see the poor guy again. He got to meet Grandma Cathy (she came to take a few pictures!!!) He got to meet most of Lauren's little siblings! And to make matters worse He had to ride home from the dance with Matt and I.

I think it was a very nice evening!! The kids made it there and back. They looked great and had lots of fun.

A benefit for Nikki

If you have been driving around the Berne area, you have probably seen the PRAY for NIKKI signs. Nikki is a young mother in our town with Breast Cancer that has spread to her liver. They have had to stop her treatment. She had a son in May and was diagnosed with cancer right after he was born. Her and her husband Jeff, also have a three year old daughter.

Friends of Nikki are having a benefit for her on December 17 to raise money to help with medical bills.

I am looking for some really nice people to help provide some baked goods for the supper that evening. If you would be willing to bake something or make a dessert would you please contact me. (mjlehman8@gmail.com)

The family is praying for a miracle. Could you please join them in praying and support them by providing some baked goods. Thanks. julie :)
